We cannot always control everything. Meditation teaches us how to accept things that we cannot change. Accept and be patient. This is what I am accepting now at this moment while doing my European Voluntary Service in Ribadavia, Spain.
“Daily walk up the hill, too long winter, too little yellow, tomar un cafe with or without a reason, with or without milk or descafeinado because too much caffeine consumed in one day, lazy mornings, late dinners, loud parties behind my wall, two question marks…Though many of the Spanish habits are different from mine, I am trying to accept the place and time in which I am right now, trying to accept that not everyone meditates, not everyone has been to Mooktawan, and this is what becomes so rewarding: to find the middle way. El camino correcto.”
